Ray is head of content and insight at AccountingWEB's sister business PracticeWeb. He has been writing and editing professionally for almost 20 years, first in central government, then as a freelance journalist and book editor, joining PracticeWeb in 2018. His articles have appeared in publications including the Guardian, Daily Mirror, Beer Advocate and The Fortean Times. He has co-authored two award-winning non-fiction books on the history of beer and pubs and his first novel was published in 2019. At PracticeWeb, he oversees the production of content on accountancy, tax and finance issues for business and consumer audiences, as well as copywriting for accountancy practice websites.
