AccountingWEB Live is proud to announce TaxAid as its official Charity Partner.
TaxAid is a charity set up by tax professionals to provide free, independent advice across the range of tax issues that impact people on low incomes.
To be held in the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on 2-3 Dec 2020, AccountingWEB Live is a new UK accounting exhibition, blending inspiring, practical content with cutting edge technology showcases and a CPD-accredited educational programme.
During the build-up to the exhibition, AccountingWEB Live and AccountingWEB will help raise awareness for TaxAid, with content and initiatives to be announced throughout the year.
During the exhibition, interested parties will be able to visit a dedicated TaxAid stand to discuss their work or attend one of their seminars. As part of the partnership, TaxAid volunteer and noted tax expert Tina Riches will be joining the AccountingWEB Live Advisory Board. Before her retirement from practice, Tina was the national tax partner at Smith & Williamson LLP. Previously, Tina was technical director at the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and has been a member of various HMRC consultative committees.
"We are extremely proud to have TaxAid as our Charity Partner,” said Tom Dunkerley, CEO Sift. “The work of TaxAid shows that accounting professionals can make a real difference to people's lives. Whether donating money or their time, accountants are helping the wider community. We are delighted to help TaxAid get their message across and recruit new volunteers.”
"We are delighted to partner with AccountingWEB Live and look forward to harnessing the expertise, creativity and innovative thinking of the accounting community to help serve even more vulnerable taxpayers and pensioners struggling with tax,” said Valerie Boggs, Chief Executive, TaxAid and TaxHelp for Older People.
